Gaik let out a tiny squeal, flapping her wings and flying around in circles. "I can fly! I can-" She flapped too fast, stalling and crashing to the ground, "Ow..."

Shanido chuckled and slowly helped her up, "We can practice your flying some other time.  For now, take some time off until the Blue-Moon Festival."

"What's that?"

"I'll tell you tomorrow. It's already late.  Go on, get some rest."

"Shanido, I am incapable of sleep."  Gaik said with a gigle.

"Oh you know what I meant, now git!" he said in a middle aged 'GET OFFA MAH LAWN!' voice.

She laughed and turned to leave, but as she did, Shanido noticed the gem in her tail blade, "Hey Gaik, where'd you get that tail gem?...and what is it?"

"Can't say, and it gave me the Universal element!" she squealed, barely even thinking through her words.  She began beating her wings to get a bit of air, before gliding back down, using this method to get back to her room before he could question her further.

---

Gaik was sitting in her room later that night, thinking to herself when she all of a sudden sensed a dragon outside. Odd..she could sense dragons? Why could-oh yea! Her new element. She nearly forgot. She'd have to explain to Shanido next time she got the chance.

She shrugged and curiously opened the door, quietly, seeing Shanido's tail slip into the darkness before her. She raised an eye ridge, and slowly followed.

When Shanido froze and turned around, she quickly ducked into some darkness, laying on the floor to hide her white underbelly, and 'closing' her 'eyes'.  Shanido slowly turned around and began walking again.

Gaik scaled the wall of the hallway, and then clung to the ceiling.  As he walked along the floor, she crawled on the ceiling. Her diminutive weight making it easy for her to stay on.  She remained calm, and, with a few sickening squelching sounds, made a few bones stick out of her shoulders.  A bit of...heat, or something of the sort, formed around the bones, and suddenly, her stench only seemed to come from those...meaning it didn't go far enough to reach Shanido....but that sickening sound, that definitely reached him.

Shanido whipped around and scanned the area, even looking at the ceiling. When he saw nothing, he growled very quietly to himself, and walked faster toward the exit. Gaik opened her eyes again and continued following. Things went off without a hitch...until he got outside, where he spread his wings. Crap! She wasn't that great at flying yet.  No way she could keep up!  How would she follow him? She began to think, then smirked as she got an idea. She quickly scrambled into a tree, and as he began to fly off, she leapt from branch to branch. He was a lot faster, but she could see through the canopies where he was going now.

After about a half an hour Shanido touched down.  Gaik raised an eye ridge as he walked over to a stone, her arriving just in time to see him press down on a certain spot, pressing in a switch. The rock then moved to reveal a hole, which he promptly jumped through. The rock then began to move back into place.  Gaik darted for the hole, and got in just at the last second, actually feeling her tail blade scrape a bit on the rock, but not loud enough for Shanido to hear. She slowly crawled down the chamber, and poked her head out of the dark hole at the top of a massive chamber.

Gaik's eye sockets bulged as she clung to the ceiling, looking down at a small gathering of dragons. She watched as Shanido cleared his throat,

"Tonight the Night Assassins have a very important mission. One we cannot fail."

Gaik gasped, and narrowed her eye sockets into a glare. "Assassins huh?" she said.

Shanido froze, and turned around, seeing Gaik drop down from the ceiling.  She slammed hard into the ground from the huge fall, her entire body crumpling into just a pile of bones and scales, before with more sickening squelching and cracklings, her body reformed itself as if nothing had happened, and she just stared at Shanido, unmoving, unspeaking.
